April 15, 2004
It
is April and water is dripping every where. It’s a day to celebrate
in Alaska—sunny, melting the snow pack--a sign of hope! Spring
means a very busy season (100 days between frosts) is upon us with
youth camps to fly for, planes to work on at inspection time and
building a hangar for the plane. The land is working out nicely for
the hangar. Several work teams are coming to help put it up. Thank
You!
The chaplain work on the Iditarod Dog Race went well and I would say 99%
of the people we gave a John-Romans Special Dog Mushing Edition
received it gladly. There were two grandmas from Italy that took
one and came back to ask me questions. They didn’t receive Christ,
but now know the Gospel.
The whole idea of this kind of work
is new to the race people, but so far no negative input. You can
see pictures of this ministry by going to our new web site. To
those of you who sent funds for the John-Romans, we thank you very
much. A farmer in Loup City, Nebraska, suggested that I wouldn’t run
out of food following the race, as I would have unlimited snow cones
available!
Some
of you have said that you want to know about sponsoring an Eskimo or
Athabascan young person to camp in June. These are $150 per camper
as they have to be flown from great distances. Send checks to
WWNTBM or to us marked for “campers” This is the highlight of
their year, but many can’t afford to come. Quite a few campers get
saved each year.
Don’t forget
the web site:

My son-in-law Todd Dennis put it together for me and is trying to
bring me kicking and screaming into the computer age!
Faithfully
yours,
